The rare 6 Pounder bronze gun, Serial number 194 was made by Cyrus Alger of Boston in September of 1861. The tube has a beautiful green patina. It is marked CA & Co. on one trunnion, and 1861 on the other. The muzzle is marked 194.

This tube was sold by Gary Hendershott in 2004 for $57,500 and the purchaser then mounted it on a high quality Steen Ordnance Works carriage. (I just purchased a Paulson Brothers Ordnance all weather (Aluminum, the same as the National Park Service uses) carriage and it was more than 18k by itself)
