The army sized holster shown here is pure Confederate manufacture.  This can be seen in its very distinctive Confederate traits, of which there are many.  The foremost is the solid brass buggy awning finial used for fastening the button.  The body and flap are made of a single piece of leather, only the belt loop is attached.  Another distinctly Confederate trait is that it has an open toe.  

     The holster is super strong, but is stiffer than I would prefer and I do not suggest putting a revolver in it because it would stress the flap to open it wide enough to insert the revolver.  The stitching is tight everywhere except the two inches of separation shown in the pictures.  The finial is completely tight.  Of particular interest is that it is pierced for tie downs.  I have never seen a Confederate holster set up for tie down straps.  It’s a shame he did not put his name on the holster anywhere.

     The holster has great form and a perfectly smooth finish; it will display with a revolver exceptionally well.
