This russet holster was made to fit a Colt Pocket Revolver with a 4 ¾ inch barrel. The holster’s leather is in excellent, strong and pliable condition.

All the stitching is strong and tight, save for the toe and belt loop. A small part of the thread surrounding the holster’s closed toe has come loose. The belt loop’s thread was missing and someone stitched the top of the loop back in place with two lines of modern black thread. The loop’s bottom stitching remains missing. The holster was originally fastened with a button, now missing.

Though not distinctly Confederate, the russet finish gives it the perfect look to accompany a Confederate used Colt Pocket Revolver.
