The triangular socket bayonet shown here fits the Confederate produced Fourth Model Fayetteville rifle.

With the exception of some carbon staining, this bayonet is in virtually new condition. The opening is 22.5 mm. It still fits perfectly and the locking mechanism works perfectly. It has a very nice and visible forging flaw where the steel tip joins the iron socket.
