Confederate Cavalry Spurs
with Original Straps
|Description and Photograph||
This beautiful pair of Confederate Cavalry spurs still have their original straps. The straps are far more rare and valuable than the spurs themselves, because of their obvious fragility very few survive. The russet straps have sewn on brass buckles with iron tongues.
These are a CS 4 variant with one inch, seven point rowels and are the exact spurs illustrated on page 37 of Confederate, US and Other Civil War Used Spurs by Bob Baird, Ph.D. It is unknown for certain who manufactured these, but they are reminiscent of the Leech & Rigdon spurs.
The spurs and straps are in perfect condition and could not be upgraded.
